Q4: My Company / I require a receipt for the donations made. How should I obtain this from you?

A: Please email us at sayephin.ng@ewb.sg  with the following details and we shall send you the e-receipt within 5 working days.

Your name and  contact number

Transaction reference number OR cheque number

Date of transaction

Amount donated

Alternatively, you may provide us with the above information via our Contact Us page. If you require the original receipt (hard copy) for your record, please indicate your mailing address as well.

Q5: My Company / I would like to donate to the Society. Can our donations qualify for tax exemption?

A: All donations are non tax deductible.

Membership

 

Q7: I would like to join as a member. May I know how I can do so? What is the membership fee and criteria to be a member? Can I opt to be a volunteer instead?

 

A: Membership is free. To apply, please download the application form by clicking here. Engineers Without Borders (Singapore) is a volunteer-run non-profit organisation. We welcome passionate individuals / groups who would ike to be a part of our cause to join us as a member or a volunteer. We are always on the look-out for people with diverse skillset, like project management, marketing, business development, events management, IT, etc. For more details on being a member or volunteer, please download our Manifesto.

About the Society

Q1: Who are we?

A: Engineers Without Borders (Singapore) is an official international federation member of Engineers Without Borders-International (EWB-I). We obtained the permission and approval from EWB-I to start its Singapore Chapter officially in June 2013. Please refer to the letters of recommendation from EWB-I on our Download page.

 

Q2: Are you affiliated with other Engineers Without Borders in Asia?

 

A: Engineers Without Borders (Singapore) operates as a member of EWB-I. We will work closely with other official country chapters and recognised members of the same group to further the cause of humanitarian engineering in South-east Asia. However, we do look forward to engage with other like-minded organisations for possible collaborative projects.

 

Q3: Is Engineers Without Borders affiliated in Doctors Without Borders and Reporters Without Borders?

 

A: Engineers Without Borders is not related to Doctors Without Borders and Reporters Without Borders. Doctors Without Borders is a French founded humanitarian aid non-governmental organisation while Reporters Without Borders is a France-based non-profit, non governmental organisation and has consultant status at the United Nations.
